How do I start?

Send a request with your goal and what you already know. I will recommend the best service and a sensible starting research block.

Do you guarantee results?

Records do not always exist or may not be accessible. I do not guarantee a specific outcome, but I do guarantee a careful process, transparent documentation, and clear next steps.

What do you need from me?

Whatever you have: names, approximate dates/places, family stories, document photos, and/or a GEDCOM export. Even partial information helps.

What is a GEDCOM?

A GEDCOM is a standard file format that stores family tree data so it can be moved between different genealogy tools.

Do I need RootsMagic?

No. RootsMagic files are optional. You will receive a GEDCOM and readable reports in PDF (and optionally Word).

Will living people be included?

I protect privacy. Living individuals are handled carefully and may be labeled as “Living” depending on how the results will be shared.

Can you work with my online tree?

Yes. I can deliver a GEDCOM for import, plus a report so that sources and explanations are preserved even if platforms handle data differently.
